Selena Marie Gomez (/s@'li:n@ Gomez/s@-LEE-n@ GOHmez born on the 22nd of July, 1992) is an American actor, singer, and producer. Gomez's acting journey began in the television show for children called Barney & Friends (1902-2004). She rose to fame as Alex Russo, a teenage character on the Disney Channel television show Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-12). Gomez was also a participant in the television series Another Cinderella Story (2008) and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie 2009, Ramona and Beezus (2010) and Spring Breakers 2012, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016). In 2019, she will be seen in The Dead Don't Die (2018). Gomez was also the voice of Mavis in Hotel Transylvania's film franchise from 2012 to 2022. Gomez is the executive producer for the Netflix television series 13 Reasons Why (2017-2020) and Living Undocumented (2019) through her production company, July Moon Productions. She is also a part of the Hulu comedy show, the mystery Only Murders in the Building (21-21-222). The latter has earned Gomez critical praise, and nominations for an Golden Globe Award, and as producer and producer, an Primetime Emmy Award . Gomez was a part of Selena Gomez & the Scene and released three albums. They all reached the top ten on the US Billboard 200. She has been honored with numerous awards and was named Billboard's Female of the Year in 2017 as well as breaking fifteen Guinness World Records. Time magazine named her one of the top 100 influential people around the globe in 2020. She is a well-known social media celebrity and is the most-followed actress and musician on Instagram.
