Selleck was a prominent character in a variety of TV films that came out in the new millennium. This included the Jesse Stone series in which Selleck played a New England police chief. The role also earned him an Emmy nomination, and he served as the film's executive producer. Selleck plays a police officer who is part a multigenerational family. The role was part of Blue Bloods that premiered on CBS in 2010. Selleck eventually made it to the big screen. Along with Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg He was in Three Men and a Baby the film that was a hugely successful comedy. It was the top-grossing film ever.
