Kari Wuhrer was born on April 28 in 1967. She is an American actor and singer. Wuhrer began her career as a teenager. She is recognized for her role as Maggie Beckett in the television series Sliders and as Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), an accountant for payroll, as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer, who was a police officer as well as a auto salesman. She has 3 siblings. When she was in her teens, she performed at nightclubs in the dark, escaping from home. After attending the Wooster School at the age of 13 and began to study drama. Later, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University, Marymount Manhattan College located at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, with the renowned instructor Uta Hagen, Wuhrer studied.
